Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a good weekend. I did. I went for a chocolate caramel frappe with a friend on Saturday evening.... in a word...yum! I love those things.. I am addicted. Of course it is a frozen drink. It is supposed to be 101, 102, and 103 degrees the next 3 days. Is that hot enough for ya??? It is for us... whew!
Yesterday after church, I went to eat with my friend Beck. We had Mexican food and went shopping. And of course, we went and read a bit at my fav book store (Books-a-Mill**ion) and got another frappe!! We looked at cookbooks and just sat and talked. We had a good time.
Today, Sue and I went to get chicken from, ya know, the Colonel... and took it to Diane's. We got to spend the day with Diane and Princess Emmy.. we had a good day...
Tonight, I went and ate Chinese with a friend. We haven't seen each other for a bit, so, we went out to eat and catch up. And I have a date Thursday with my friend Jen. We get together as often as we can. She has worked with me for almost 10 years and she is in vet school. It is her last week of work for the summer (she works when she comes in from school during the summer.) And we used to have "dates" before she left here to go to school. She is one the best people I know and we hit it off the instant we met. It makes us sad when she has to leave but I know that as fast as time goes, she'll be home for good soon. For our "date" we dress up and go somewhere nice to eat and sometimes we go shopping, too. I will miss her. I am blessed with good family... and my family includes 3 women who are very good .....friends/family. They are part of my family.... Fun friends= family.....
Diane went to go do her shopping tonight after Emmy went home. I know she had a hot job getting in and out of the heat and then getting it all in when she got home. It truly is nasty outside. It is 10:21 pm and it is 88 degrees right now.. and humid. Eewwww.......
I will probably go to Diane and Lamar's tomorrow. Me and Sue... if she's not busy. I am supposed to go to the doctor with our other sis... Martha tomorrow..for a check-up but it won't take long. Then the rest of the week, I will be working. Hubby will be back home on Friday or Saturday and he said we will be going on a date Saturday night. Probably dinner and a movie...with a little shopping thrown in if I'm lucky!! I miss hubby.... :(
