As of January 25th, I have been blogging for a year! Wow, it seems like it was longer..... Diane started my blog as a birthday gift last year. My birthday is in February... I had said I thought I might want to start a blog and the next thing I knew, I had my own "place." Diane didn't know that when she started my blog that she would have to keep helping with interior design!
Writing on my blog has been many things to me. It's a place to write how I feel, what kind of day I had... even if it wasn't a good one... fun things I do with my family, prayer requests for friends and family... heartaches... just anything I want to write about... It's been a place for me to remember my Mom and Dad... even a few furry friends...
It's been a place to meet new friends... thank you all for stopping by to visit. I appreciate every one of you.... I am especially proud that I get to blog with 2 of my real sisters... and they share pictures on here that I get to enjoy... I don't know how to do a lot of the mechanics on here that others may do.. Diane is my mechanic! ;-) ... thanks, Diane! But I enjoy my space.....
I look forward to another year of blogging and hope to meet even more friends.... I hope you all continue to stop by and visit ......... Hugs to all..... Cecil

I am so "THANKFUL" to have met both of you here on blogland. You are both very dear to me because yall were one of the first ones that I started blogging with. I so appreciate you and Diane both welcoming me here in blogland. I blog too, to write down my thoughts and share things going on with my Family. Lida and I left the house this morning at 10:15 to go to my eye appt. and it was just raining and a little sleet. By the time we got to Wood Vision it was snowing, sleeting and raining, then just sleet and mostly snow. It came down like gang busters and had the ground and roads covered in 10 minutes! By the time I got out of there 30 minutes later it was getting rough. We almost never made it up the incline and onto the road, and the worst, slickest part was on Matthews over to Nettleton. It took us 45 minutes to get from Wood Vision over to old 63 and then home. But the further South we got the less ice and snow, too. We didn't get nearly as much here as they did in Jonesboro. The further North you go the more ice and snow.
If the roads are okay Jessica is supposed to take me to town Friday to do my shopping for the first and to pick up a few groceries. I was going to get some bread and stuff today, but that didn't happen. We just wanted to get home and off the icy roads!

Happy Blogiversary, Cecil! I've so enjoyed visiting your blog and reading your life stories over the past year.
Thank you for the message you left for me at BooMama's. I'm so sorry to learn that you are still sick, but your symptoms sound like many others who have been sick here in Nashville. They all have said that they couldn't get out of the bed for 4 or 5 days.
I hope you feel better soon...stay warm and take care of yourself.
