Sunny Day, Everything's A-OK......

I was beginning to think the sun was gone forever.... but today, it was shining all day and it warmed up... so nice... sigh... and I was stuck inside at work... oh well, believe me, I was so glad to see it!! And the flooding is so bad in parts of the state that any sun at all should help... now the flooding will be worse in some areas because the rivers will be cresting... such devastation.... I've lost my house to fire and my church, too... my heart goes out to all who have lost homes and especially, loved ones...

Well, as I said, I had to work today and we were busy... makes the time go fast though... I came home and cleaned house and took a good hot shower and then made me some dinner.... don't get excited... I worked 9-1/2 hours today and then worked when I got home... so my dinner came out of a box tonight.. I had a Michelina's low fat grilled chicken alfredo florentine dinner and a lean cuisine grilled turkey panini... but even though they were out of a box, they were very good. I usually just pick something up on Friday night or eat something here because I got off work later sometimes ...

I had a few comments about the picture on my blog.. it is our youngest cat, Amos. My husband took the picture of him on the back of our loveseat... we also have 3 other cats.. Percy, Zaboomafoo, and Patches.... and of course, I have my beautiful frog, Edith!! No, Sammy, I can't imagine not having a cat... they are wonderful creatures indeed... as are dogs and other pets...

Well, I haven't been sleeping well so I need to go for now. By the time I check my email, I'll be ready for bed. Hope you all have a good Friday and are doing well.. Hugs to all... Cecil

Hello Lisie...haven't talked to you in a while so I thought I would visit, and man..you have been busy since the last time I visited. How are things with you and your kids? Good I hope. This weekend is going to be crazy with Good Friday, the reunion, and Easter. Too bad Emmy is still too little to hunt eggs. Anyway..I love you and cant wait to visit with you on Sunday.

Good Early Morning Cecil,
Yesterday was indeed a beautiful day and the Sun shining made it even more beautiful. It was a tad bit chilly for me tho. LOL. I didn't get out of the house until around 5:00p.m. yesterday afternoon. Then I went up town and got me some supper and was back home by 7:00p.m. All of the flooding is so sad. So many lives have been affected by it. There was a levee that broke on the Black River in Poplar Bluff, MO yesterday afternoon. They said on the 10:00p.m. news last night that the White River at Jacksonport was rising. It was up to the levee at 10:00p.m. They have some work release prisoners out there sandbagging as well. Time does seem to go by much faster when you are busy. The picture of your cat in your header is very nice. I'm not a big fan of cats because when I was a little girl, I had one thrown on me and it scratched me up. I don't mistreat them or anything, but I just don't want one as a pet. LOL. I do feed the stray cats around here tho. You will have to get Diane to post a picture of your frog, Edith on here for you sometime. I would really love to see it. I am up late again tonight. I tried going to sleep, but couldn't. LOL. My Birthday is on Tuesday of next week and my Anniversary is on Monday of next week. Take care my friend and have a great day/weekend. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

I've been thinking about all of you as I've been watching the news. You've had far more than your share of horrid weather and I hope you've seen the back end of it for a while.

My kitchen floor at the moment (mid-morning) has one patch in the sunshine and the rest in shadow. Guess who is basking in the sunny spot. You got it, the cat.

Happy Easter to all.
