Hello Everyone... Hope you are all doing well. As I sat down to blog and read some blogs, it started coming a gully-washer. It has just now slacked up a little bit. It started sprinkling around 2:45 today and then about a 1/2 hour later, it started raining. And it has rained quite a bit since then... and we desperately need it. It is supposed to rain the next few days....there is a good chance anyway.
So, I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Of course, I had to work today and it was busy! Then Martha and I went and got lunch and went to Wally World to get a few things. I came home and worked on the house and cleaned Edith's home (aka..her tank.. :0) ... Then I sat down and watched tv for a bit. I have to decide what I want to wear tomorrow. We are going to a different church tomorrow.. we are going to Seth's dedication at Danny and Mikki's church. It is casual so I will just have to decide what I want to wear. After the service, Danny is cooking out for all of us so lunch is already decided. We are having hotdogs and hamburgers so if it's raining, Danny can cook in the garage. We will come back home tomorrow evening and go to our church for evening services.
Hubby is out of town tonight so I will probably take a bath soon and get ready for bed. Amos, my baby cat..you see him at the top of the page... slept with me all night long last night and he is beside me now. I'll go and take my bath in a little while and he usually sits beside the tub .... And he sleeps in hubby's place while he's gone... well, Brian usually has to move him over to get in bed! lol
I came home this afternoon and started cleaning and it was all I could do to keep going! I wanted to lay down and sleep so bad... it was raining and it was dark in here and I almost didn't make it... but I knew I wouldn't want to do anything if I took a nap.. so I trudged through... :)
Well, I guess I'll go for now. I still have things to do before bedtime. Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow and all is well with your world... Love, Cecil

Well I replaced a light fixture in the utility room that had shorted
out.The I cooked for next week. I made a beef-roast w/potatoes and gravy.Scalloped potatoes, field peas,
mashed potatoes,*rice*a roni. For desert I made brownies and a sour cream bundt cake. Now I have to put it in individual containers for meals, and freeze them. I also have pork chops to grill to go with some of the meals. If I'm in a hurry I have hamburgers or hotdogs.
I'm too tired to want to stand there and cook every night after cooking all day. It's hard to go from cooking for 30 to 40 people to cooking for 3. I may make some of the breakfast burrito's like Diane did. But I'll cut the recipe down some(a whole lot!!).
I forgot to tell Diane that Elmo died(my parakeet). He flew in the living room and had a heart-attact.
Poor baby, he was very old.
Well I've wrote you a book so I will go now.
Love you Sister and God bless.
Donna
Hey, Sister....I enjoyed my day off yesterday, but I went to Jonesboro on the Sr. Citizen's van and then made 29 burritos for the freezer, so it wasn't really a day off.
I've got a nagging sinus headache that I hope is not going to turn into something more serious. I just had one of my famous sneezing fits which definitely didn't help matters.
Poor Elmo, sorry to hear that about him, but he was getting old for a parakeet, bless his little heart.
Lord willing I'll see you in the morning, Sister.
Love you,
Joe
Cecil,
Thanks so much for the birthday wishes you left for me at BooMama's! If your ears were burning last night, BooMama and I were talking about you and your sisters...good stuff, though! :)
xo.
