I'm Home!

Hello Everyone! I went on my trip Saturday and had a great time! My friend Beck and I went on a weekend get-a-way. We left after I got off work, grabbed a snack, and hit the road! We got there and went and rented our hotel room at Comfort Inn. It was so nice-- big airy high-ceiling, 2 double beds and a big bathroom. Very nice and comfortable. Then we went to dinner.. we went early because it was Saturday night and we knew we'd have a hard time getting in later. We went to Chili's... I had steak and shrimp and baked potato....yum.. and a Pina Colada... no alcohol.... it was delicious!! Then we drove around and found a few nice shops.. Got a few clothes, a few nice things for the hubby and went to the local Dairy Queen for ice cream.. YUM! Then we went back to the hotel and took a hot bath and just piled up on our beds and watched tv and chatted for a bit and went to sleep.

Sunday, we got up and took a shower and got ready to go out. We got a quick breakfast snack at Hardee's and went to the BIG Wal-Mart and went shopping. Got a lot more stuff at their Wal-mart! Got some nice things there and when we left there, it was lunch-time... we went back to Chili's... got a burger and fries and by then, we were ready to come home.. so we got on the road and came home... We only went about 3 hours away but it was fun.. ditched some stress and came back refreshed.. It was a town called Mountain Home... a nice trip was had by all!! lol

When I got home hubby was still at work.. he called and picked up some deli sandwiches for us and some iced tea.. We watched tv for a while and I was pretty much wiped out, so, we went to bed. I enjoyed my trip but it was good to be home with my hubby and my babies!

Yesterday morning, I called Sue and we went to pick up sandwiches, chips and dip and cookies and then went to Diane's. She was upset because one of the baby kittens she's been taking care of died yesterday morning. Very sad for her.... I have a really bad habit of taking up with animals... but I have found that I'd rather love them and get my heart broken than be without them. I had a cat that lived 'til she was almost 18 years old.. She was there when I got my heart broken... twice.. she was there any time I was upset.. she was with me when I got married, and she was my child.... I miss her.. she's been gone 4 years this year. And we have a cat that we've had for 14 years and he has cancer.... and it will break my heart when he dies or if we have to have him euthanized.... but I wouldn't take anything for the joy he has brought us.... And I won't let him suffer.... he's loved us too much for that.... I love my kids.... I don't have human kids but to me, they are my kids...

Sunday was kind of a bittersweet day for me....on the way home, I was missing my Mom and Dad so much... Sunday was what would have been their 61st anniversary... Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad! We always had a big dinner on their anniversary..... I can't wait for the dinner we'll all have when we get to Heaven!!!!

Well, I guess that I'll get off of here and get ready for bed... Gotta get up early for work.. Just had a good hot shower and the bed is calling!
